Apprentice Taekwon-do Instructor

Position: Apprentice Taekwon-do Instructor
Full time: Up to 40 Hours
Permanent

Expanding taekwon-do club requires self-motivated, energetic people to assist in class management and will work towards becoming future instructors.

All applicants must be approachable, have patience and a sense of humour. No previous experience of Taekwon-do or any other Martial Art is required. However, there will be marketing required through leaflet distribution throughout the initial probation period.

Full on the job training will be provided and successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced disclosure. The expense for this will be met by the employer.

This is a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity that will require successful candidates to be fully committed to their learning towards Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) Level 3 in Leisure Management and developing their skill set with a rapidly growing organisation.

Please note the working hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview stage but, will include evenings and weekends.

Taekwon-do Instructor

Position: Taekwon-do Instructor
Full time: Up to 40 Hours
Permanent

Expanding taekwon-do club requires black belt students trained in ITF style. Instructor qualifications are not necessary as training courses will be given. This position is suitable for all ages and the applicant does not need to be currently training.

All applicants must be approachable and willing to make learning fun, have patience and a sense of humour.

Successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced disclosure. The expense for this will be met by the employer.

This is a fantastic unique opportunity that will require successful applicants to be fully committed to their role and to develop their skill set with a rapidly growing organisation.

Martial Arts Assistant

Position: Martial Arts Assistant
Full time: Up to 40 Hours

Club Co-Ordinators

Position: Co-Ordinator
Full time: 40 Hours

Job Description:
Expanding taekwon-do club requires self-motivated, energetic people to assist in class management. No previous experience of Taekwon-do or any other Martial Art is required

However, experience of working with parents and children is essential. You must be able to deal with class registration, cash handling, have good organisational and planning skills, good communication skills and time management and be able to work well in a team. All applicants must be approachable, have patience and a sense of humour.

Full on the job training will be provided but, applicants must have their own car.

Successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced disclosure. The expense for this will be met by the employer.

Modern Apprenticeships in Taekwon-do

XS Taekwon-do is the first Taekwon-do group in the UK to take on Modern Apprentices aged 16 -19 years of age.

XS has linked up with The Sports Academy of Scotland and is in partnership with North Lanarkshire’s Working to provide Modern Apprenticeships in Taekwon-do. By offering these Apprenticeships XS are providing opportunities for young people following the success of the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow. Through this programme the Apprentices will obtain an SVQ Level 3 in Leisure Management and work towards becoming a fully qualified Taekwon-do Instructor. XS currently have 4 Modern Apprentices, Allan Clark, Kieran Rodger, Robbie McHale and Patrick Paterson (from left to right in photo).

Allan (18) Black Belt said “I am enjoying the freedom of learning in my own time without having to attend a college or university at fixed times. This qualification will put me in a good position to help me achieve my future career aspirations”.

Patrick (17) colour belt said “I’m really enjoying my Taekwon-do training and making new friends. XS is a fantastic club with talented Instructors and I get a great qualification as well”.
